Privacy Policy
Gecko Games ("we") makes and runs mobile games. This policy explains what information our games and this website collect, what we use it for, and how we protect it. It applies in the same way to every game we make; what differs by game is in section 12. In effect from: October 29, 2026
1. Information we collect
- Account ID: an anonymous account number made automatically when you first open a game. Each game makes its own.
- Linked account information: if you link another account, such as a Google account or an Apple account, in a game, we receive its email address (if you choose Hide My Email with Apple, it is a forwarding address Apple makes). The name (and, from Google, the profile picture address) sent with it may also be saved in the sign-in records.
- Game data: your saved game, such as progress, characters and items, currencies, missions and check-ins, and the server you chose. Settings such as volume are saved only on your device.
- Name and records: the name you chose, your profile and titles, and your ranking records.
- Inquiries: the messages and topics you send from a game's help screen or by email, and our replies.
- Purchase records: the items you bought, order numbers and purchase times. The app market (for example, Google Play or the App Store) handles payment, and we do not receive payment details such as card numbers.
- Ad information: when you watch an ad in a game that has ads, the ad company processes your advertising ID, device information (model, operating system), IP address, and records of the ads you saw and tapped. See section 7 for details.
- Notification information: in a game that sends phone notifications, that phone's notification address (push token), your notification on/off settings, the record of when you agreed to or withdrew from event and gift alerts (promotional messages), and the phone's time zone and game language.
- Abuse records: records of breaking the terms, such as cheating, fraudulent payments or refund abuse, and of the action we took, with the account ID.
- Access logs: when you use our servers, records such as the time, the request, errors, app version and IP address are kept in the server logs.
- Usage records: when and how often you open the app, the screens you view, your progress, in-game activity such as wishes and purchases, what the ads you watched earned, taps on the notifications you received, app version, device information (model, operating system) and advertising ID. The analytics tool in the app collects these automatically. The tool each game uses is in section 12.
2. How we use it
- Saving and loading your game (so you can carry on after changing devices or restarting)
- Showing your name and records on the rankings and your profile
- Delivering what you bought exactly once, and handling refunds
- Showing ads, and giving the reward for ads watched to the end
- Finding and stopping abnormal use (fraudulent payments, cheating)
- Seeing which screens and features are used most so we can improve the game, and measuring ad performance (usage records)
- Answering your inquiries
- Telling you by phone notification when gifts or letters arrive in your Mailbox (if you turned notifications on)
- Sending event and gift news by phone notification (only if you separately agreed)
- Grouping similar players by their usage records (cohorts) to choose who receives notifications and gifts, and measuring what followed (taps on the notification, purchases, coming back the next day, ads watched)
- Checking the facts and responding if a dispute arises
Event and gift alerts (promotional messages) are sent only if you separately agree in the game. In Korean they start with (광고) and say how to stop them, and none are sent between 9 PM and 8 AM (your phone's time). You can withdraw your consent at any time under notifications in the game's Settings, and the game tells you right away the date you agreed or withdrew. Every two years from the day you agreed, we remind you that you agreed. We do not send advertising by email.
What we process without asking for consent
Information a game needs to work is processed on the grounds below, without asking for your separate consent. That's why the games don't ask you to agree to this policy when you start: the start screen tells you about it instead.
| Information | What for | Grounds (Korea's Personal Information Protection Act) |
|---|---|---|
| Account ID, linked account information, game data, name and records, purchase records, inquiries, notification information (if you turned on Mailbox alerts) | Saving the game, rankings and your profile, delivering purchases and handling refunds, ad rewards, answering inquiries, Mailbox alerts | Performing our agreement with you (Article 15(1)4) |
| Purchase records, inquiries | Keeping them for the periods the law sets (section 3) | Legal obligations (Article 15(1)2; Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Article 6) |
| Abuse records, access logs | Finding and stopping fraudulent payments and cheating, protecting the servers, responding to disputes | Performing our agreement with you, and our legitimate interests (Article 15(1)4 and 6) |
| Usage records | Improving the games and measuring ad performance, choosing who receives notifications and gifts (cohorts) | Performing our agreement with you, and our legitimate interests (Article 15(1)4 and 6) |
| Ad information | Showing ads (processed directly by the ad company) | The ad company's own policy. You can say no to personalised ads as described in section 7. |
The processing by other companies and the transfers abroad in section 5 are also needed to perform our agreement with you, so we tell you about them in this policy instead of asking for consent (Article 28-8(1)3).
What we ask your consent for
| Information | What for | Grounds (Korea's Personal Information Protection Act) |
|---|---|---|
| The part of the notification information that records your yes to event and gift alerts, or its withdrawal | Sending event and gift news by phone notification | Your consent (Article 15(1)1; Korea's Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Article 50). Asked separately in the game, and you can withdraw it at any time. |
3. How long we keep it, and deletion
- Account ID, linked account information, game data, name and records: kept until you delete your account or that game's service ends. When you ask to delete your account, they are deleted from our servers when that game says (within 10 days of asking at the latest). Each game's period is in section 12.
- Purchase records: kept for 5 years, as Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce requires, and then deleted.
- Inquiries: kept for 3 years under the same act, and then deleted.
- Abuse records: kept for up to 1 year, and then deleted. They stay for this time even if you delete your account.
- Access logs: kept for up to 3 months, and then deleted.
- Usage records: kept for up to 14 months, and then deleted.
- Notification information: kept until you sign out on that phone or delete your account. If you remove the app and the notification address can no longer be used, it is deleted then. If you turn notifications off, the setting stays so you can turn them back on.
- Records of consent to promotional messages: kept for 1 year after you delete your account to prove the consent, and then deleted.
However, if an investigation by the authorities or a dispute is under way, or money is still to be settled between you and us, we keep the information until that is over.
If we end a game's service, we delete its game data on the end date, and keep only the information the law requires us to keep (purchase records and inquiries), separately, until its period ends, and then delete it.
4. Information we give to others
We do not sell your information to other companies or people. The exceptions are the information the ad company in section 7 processes directly for ads, and requests made under the law.
5. Companies that process information for us (processors and transfers abroad)
| Company | What it does for us | Games |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase, Google Cloud) | Game servers, data storage, sign-in, server logs | Purrfect Pilots |
| Google LLC (Google Play) | Processing and checking payments | Purrfect Pilots |
| Google LLC (Firebase Analytics) | Analysing usage records | Purrfect Pilots |

Where each game stores its game data is in section 12. Some of the processing these companies do, such as sign-in, logs, usage analysis and ads, may take place on servers in the United States or other countries.
- Recipient: Google LLC (support.google.com/policies), Apple Inc. (the iPhone app, apple.com/legal/privacy)
- Information transferred: the information in section 1 that each company needs for its work
- When and how: sent encrypted over the internet while you play
- Purpose and retention: the same as section 2 and section 3 (the ad company follows its own policy)
- If you don't want this, please delete your account. Without this processing, server saves, payments and ad rewards can't be used.
6. Children
The ages each game is for are in section 12 and in each game's operation policy. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 14 without a guardian's consent. If you are under 14, please play with your parent or guardian. If we find out we have collected information from a child under 14 without a guardian's consent, we delete it without delay. If you think we have such information, please tell us at contact@geckogamestudio.com.
7. Personalised ads and the advertising ID
- Company that collects it: Google(AdMob)
- What it collects: advertising ID, device information, IP address, records of the ads you saw and tapped
- How: collected automatically by the ad program (SDK) in the game when it shows an ad
- Purpose: showing ads, choosing ads that match your interests, stopping ad fraud, measuring ad performance
- Retention: as set by the ad company's own policy
- How to say no: on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads to delete or reset your advertising ID. On iPhone, the game asks before the first ad whether it may track you, and you can turn it off later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you delete it or turn it off, you will see general ads instead of personalised ones.
8. Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop processing it.
- You can ask for deletion in the game. How is on each game's account deletion page (section 12).
- Or email us at contact@geckogamestudio.com with the game's name and the Account ID shown on its Settings screen. Once we have confirmed the account is yours, we handle it within 10 days. If we can't confirm it, we can't handle the request.
- You can turn phone notifications off at any time in the game's Settings → Notifications or in your phone's settings. Event and gift alerts can be turned off on their own.
9. How we protect information
- Information sent between the games and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Only the people who really need to can see the information, and access to it is logged.

13. This website
- From October 28, 2026, this website may use cookies and similar technologies, analytics tools and outside services (such as YouTube videos) to run and improve the site. The companies providing them may process access information (such as IP address, device and browser information, and usage records such as the pages viewed) under their own policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- The hosting company that serves the pages (Google) may process access records (such as IP addresses) for security.
- If you email us, we handle your email address and message like the inquiries above.
14. Players outside Korea
This section adds what the privacy laws of some other countries ask us to tell you. It doesn't change the sections above. Gecko Games is the controller of your information, and you can reach us at contact@geckogamestudio.com.
Why we may use your information (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we use your information on these legal bases:
- To perform our contract with you (the Terms of Service): your account, saving the game, names and rankings, delivering purchases and handling refunds, ad rewards, and answering inquiries.
- Your consent: personalised ads. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 7, or the game's ad privacy settings where they are shown). This doesn't affect what was done before you withdrew it.
- Our legitimate interests: keeping the games secure and fair (finding cheating and fraudulent payments, server logs, abuse records), establishing or defending legal claims (keeping information while a dispute is under way), and understanding how the games are used so we can improve them (usage records). You can object to this (below).
- Legal obligations: keeping purchase and inquiry records for the periods the law requires (section 3).
Your rights (EEA and UK)
Where these laws apply, you have the right to ask for access to your information, to have it corrected (rectification) or deleted (erasure), to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to receive the information you gave us in a common machine-readable format (portability). You can also complain to the data protection supervisory authority where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened. To use these rights, follow section 8. We may need to confirm the account is yours first.
International transfers
We are based in Korea. Where each game stores its game data is in section 12, and some processing by Google takes place in the United States and other countries (section 5). When your information is transferred out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, this relies on the safeguards the law allows, such as adequacy decisions for Korea and the standard contractual clauses in Google's data processing terms.
California
If California privacy law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) applies to us:
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Personalised ads (section 7) may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out by deleting your advertising ID or turning off tracking as described there.
- The kinds of information we collect, where they come from, why, and for how long are in section 1 to section 3: identifiers (account ID, advertising ID, IP address, email address, push token), purchase records, and internet activity (usage records, ad records, server logs).
- You can ask to know, correct or delete your personal information as described in section 8. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children outside Korea
Our games are not directed at children under 13. Where your local law sets a different age at which a child needs a parent's consent (for example, up to 16 in some EEA countries), players under that age need their parent's or guardian's consent to play.
Language
This English page is a translation of our Korean policy, plus this section. If the sections above differ between the two, the Korean version prevails.
Addendum
This policy takes effect on October 29, 2026.
It replaces the Gecko Games Privacy Policy in effect from October 24, 2026.
